Twyla the Dog needs a home
Twyla is curious and interested in people, but she has a strong independent streak. Here at the Sanctuary, she is social with Dogtown caregivers and volunteers and will take treats from people. Food is one of her favorite things. She loves to go on walks and to play with toys, and she enjoys being read to.Twyla allows people she knows well to leash her but otherwise does not let people touch her. She may never be a cuddly dog, and she needs people to respect her boundaries. She is selective with her doggie friends. Currently, Twyla does not get into crates or cars, and she has not been at all comfortable in them in the past. Her caregivers are working to help her overcome this fear so that she can travel.Twlya was born in 2014. She can be a bit of an escape artist and will run away when she is frightened. She will need to go home with a dog savvy adopter who is patient and understanding of her needs. A consultation or sessions with a trainer may be required before adoption.
